Year 33

There is a part of you that is already totally completely in tune with the Infinite. That part is available and accessible by simply proclaiming “I am”.

Right now, I invite you to take a moment of pause. Take a breath, breathe in and declare “I am”.

The “I AM” that is the true nature of yourself is all love, all joy, all wisdom. It is peace, providence, grace and magnificence and is beyond all appearance of challenge.

Inviting that “I AM” into your life will bring forth a new joy into this very day.

You are my love, you are my heaven, you are my love make me sing la de dah

3R’s

Today I successfully completed the first of this summers 3 R’s program. It’s Reefs, rocks and rips. Today we practiced and played while we learned in the waves and surf of Redondo Beach. It was so fun and I can’t wait to go out again next month. Also I met some new friends and connected with an old one who says she can get me SCUBA certified on G.P. now that’s some good news! Thank you what a beautiful day!

Man needs reckless courage to descend into the abyss of himself.

Lena Dunham on navigating the tricky boundaries with her parents: “I am a working woman out in the world, but I still live with my parents half the time. I’ve been taking this long, stuttering period of moving out. … I feel like I’m constantly asking them to please stay out of my work life, but also to please bring me soup. It’s this weird moment where you just don’t have a sense of what age-appropriate behavior is because there is no age-appropriate behavior.”

I’m very intrigued by this girl and her HBO show. How does she do it?!

Live your Life. Live your Life. Live your Life.

– Maurice Sendak has died. We’re changing the entire show today to remember him. This quote is from his most recent Fresh Air appearance last year. (via nprfreshair) Via NPR

I have nothing now but praise for my life. I’m not unhappy. I cry a lot because I miss people. They die and I can’t stop them. They leave me and I love them more. … What I dread is the isolation. … There are so many beautiful things in the world which I will have to leave when I die, but I’m ready, I’m ready, I’m ready.

This reminds me of My Grandma Mac and her last word “yes.” Thank you and blessed be always.

“That manic kid in that silly wolf suit has made my life pleasurable.”

In 2002, the PBS NewsHour’s Jeffrey Brown talked to Maurice Sendak about his roots as an artist and his interest in exploring children’s perceptions of everyday life.

Read the interview and read Maurice Sendak’s full biography.

More Maurice is fitting because he inspires me and I admire him.
